Yah-Yah-Ya Ramen
Yah-Yah-Yah is located in the Union Square Shopping Centre. 8388 Capstan Wy #1423, Richmond, BC V6X 4B6
Yah-Yah-Ya Ramen brings authentic Yokohama-style ramen to Richmond, serving up a umami-packed broth that’s fully customizable - rich and heavy or light and clean, it's up to you. The warm, inviting space, with its wooden interiors and lively energy, makes it an ideal spot for a ramen fix. Originally from Yokohama, Japan, Yah-Yah-Ya has multiple locations across Japan, staying true to its roots while delivering consistently bold flavors.
Their menu features a variety of ramen options, but we usually go with the classic shoyu ramen - a soy sauce-based broth that’s perfectly balanced, topped with tender chashu, toasted seaweed, fresh spinach, and a soft boiled egg. If you're in the mood for something richer, the Black Tonkotsu ramen packs a punch with its creamy pork broth infused with black garlic sauce, while the Spicy Miso ramen adds a fiery kick to a traditional miso base. For those who prefer a lighter touch, the Shio ramen offers a delicate salt-based broth that doesn’t skimp on flavour. Don’t forget to add an order of karaage (or two) and the signature Yuzu soda. If you’re serious about quality ramen with depth and authenticity, this place delivers.
MACU TEA
MACU Tea is located in the Union Square Shopping Centre. 8368 Capstan Wy #1316, Richmond, BC V6X 4B6
MACU Tea has made waves in Richmond, bringing its signature fresh fruit tea experience straight from Taiwan. Originally founded in Kaohsiung in 2008, MACU Tea set out to redefine bubble tea by focusing on real fruit ingredients and freshly made drinks. Their commitment to quality and innovation has led to a menu packed with vibrant flavors, and among them, the King of Mango Smoothie reigns supreme.
This mango masterpiece is a summer essential, blending coconut milk, fresh mango, grapefruit and tea jelly. The result? A rich, creamy, and refreshing drink that perfectly balances sweetness and tartness.
MACU’s Richmond location has quickly become a hotspot for fruit tea lovers. With its roots in Taiwan and a growing presence in Canada, they continues to push the boundaries of what tea can be. If you’re looking for a refreshing, fruit-forward drink, the King of Mango Smoothie is a must-try. This spot is popular, be prepared to queue up any day of the week. The wait is worth it.
